[Blues] Spacehead Blues

By Mortistar on January 14, 2024 8:03 pm

Hey guys!

First off, thank you for all of the great comments for week one! One of the things I love about weeklybeats (aside from a reason to make tunes!) is the wonderful community and I appreciate all of you! smile

So my spin-the-wheel hit me with a completely different genre this week, so apologies for those of you who expected more electronic bangers from me! But hey, part of this year for me is getting thrown way out of my comfort zone! These guitars might not be real, but I hope they appropriately convey... the spacehead blues wink

STAY COOL big_smile

FIRST! FROM SWEDEN #1! YES!!!!!

Gosh, that mix is so clean and beautiful. Excellent stuff.
See you, Space Cowboy! big_smile

Ha, the twang in the lead is so much fun. Especially love the cutout and drop around ~:40. Double the length and do a harmonica solo in the second half, this would slot into Cowboy Bebop nicely.

yess tasty guitar work! proper space cowboy stuff big_smile

Wow this is so crisp, fantastic guitar work!

This is cool, make it longer!

Great sound! Silly guitars, but it's allowed ... in space.

fun little jam! big_smile

Ooh blues?? Right on!

Space truckin'. Great chill blues.

Played this in my truck and it turned into a space trawler

Allllllright.
Might have to try this genre someday, something sub-100 bpm is bound to be easier on the hands.

Oh damn, maybe I should be doing the spin-the-wheel shit if this is where it might take me; this sounds so bebop meets point-and-click adventure game. Awesome stuff again!!

has such a borderlands vibe to it, perfect! As for the guitars conveying I thought it was real... what plugin is this??

Oh snap, this sounds DOOOOPE! The bendy/sliding guitar sounds are amazing! Super reminds me of the soundtrack for "Full Throttle", a point and click adventure game from Lucas arts from the mid 90s. Awesome job!

Yeah it's a fun one when you can just noodle around on scales. Because I'm working digital, it's as easy as my hands on the keyboard and mouse haha

Thanks! I'm using a mix of FL Studio's FLEX guitar libraries and Shreddage 3! Would love to have a real lap steel guitar to play with tongue
